Vasile Pop (writer)
Vasile Pop (born October 21, 1959, Surduc, Sălaj County, Romania) is a Romanian writer, journalist, and translator. He is known for his poetry, essays, and literary criticism.
Pop studied at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, graduating in 1984. He has worked as a teacher, journalist, and editor. He is a member of the Romanian Writers' Union.
His writing explores themes of identity, history, memory, and the human condition, often employing experimental and postmodern techniques. He is considered a significant voice in contemporary Romanian literature.
