Vampire (roller coaster)

The Vampire is a name shared by multiple roller coasters at different amusement parks. Generally, roller coasters named "Vampire" are themed around vampires and gothic horror. This often includes dark ride elements, blood-red color schemes, and thematic queue lines involving castles, graveyards, or vampire lairs.

One prominent example is the Vampire roller coaster located at Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey, England. This suspended swinging roller coaster opened in 1990 and takes riders on a thrilling flight through a gothic castle and the surrounding woods. It features sharp turns and near-miss elements designed to evoke the feeling of a vampire swooping and diving.

Other roller coasters with the name "Vampire" may exist at smaller parks or traveling fairs, but information on them may be less readily available. The overall theme and design of these rides tend to draw upon common vampire lore and imagery. The Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures is typically the most well-known and documented example.
