Valerius (consul 432)

Valerius refers to Lucius Valerius Potitus, a Roman politician who served as consul in 432 BC. He was elected alongside Marcus Fabius Vibulanus. Little is definitively known about his consulship, though ancient sources suggest it was marked by internal political tensions and possibly some military activity. The specifics of these events are often debated and considered uncertain due to the fragmentary nature of surviving historical records from this early period of the Roman Republic. The Fasti Capitolini lists him as holding the consulship, confirming his position. Later members of the Valeria gens would hold prominent positions in Roman politics.
