USS Borie

USS Borie was the name of two destroyers in the United States Navy.

• USS Borie (DD-215), a Clemson-class destroyer, commissioned in 1920 and sunk in 1943 after a fierce engagement with the German submarine U-405. This Borie is particularly noted for the ramming attack it conducted against the submarine during the battle, leading to its own demise but also ensuring the destruction of the U-boat. The crew of the Borie were later rescued.

• USS Borie (DD-704), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer, commissioned in 1944 and decommissioned in 1972. This Borie served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, earning multiple battle stars.
