The Voyage (roller coaster)
The Voyage is a wooden roller coaster located at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, United States. It opened to the public on May 6, 2006, and was designed and built by The Gravity Group. The Voyage is known for its high speed, numerous airtime hills, and long ride duration, making it a consistently ranked top wooden roller coaster.
The coaster features a record-breaking amount of underground tunnels for a wooden coaster, comprising a significant portion of its track length. Its layout is a continuous circuit, traveling through heavily wooded terrain. Key elements include multiple 90-degree banked turns and a series of airtime hills both large and small, providing riders with moments of weightlessness.
The Voyage operates with three trains, each seating 28 passengers. The trains are themed to resemble vintage locomotives. The ride experience is often described as intense and unrelenting, offering a unique blend of speed, drops, and lateral forces. Its relatively remote location within the park and its demanding layout contribute to its reputation as a must-ride for roller coaster enthusiasts.
