The Sentry (Fabritius)

The Sentry (Fabritius) refers to a character in the fictional universe of Marvel Comics, specifically appearing in the works of writer Paul Jenkins and artist Jae Lee, and later in other Marvel publications. Robert Reynolds, the man who becomes the Sentry, is portrayed as a character burdened by immense, almost god-like power, coupled with severe psychological issues, most notably a dissociative identity disorder manifesting as a malevolent entity known as the Void.

The origin of the Sentry stems from Reynolds' exposure to an experimental super-soldier serum, which granted him incredible strength, speed, flight, energy projection, and a degree of virtual invulnerability. However, the instability of the serum also unlocked the Void, a dark personality that acts as the Sentry's antithesis and represents all the darkness and fear Reynolds represses.

The Sentry's power levels are often depicted as fluctuating and influenced by his mental state.
