The Love Machine (TV series)

The Love Machine was a syndicated American television series that aired from 1980 to 1981. The program was a game show where male contestants were judged on their personality, charm, and wit by a panel of three female celebrity judges. The winner, deemed the most desirable bachelor, would then be offered a date with one of the celebrity panelists.

The show was hosted by comedian Monte Hall. Notable celebrity panelists included Barbi Benton, Ruta Lee, and Vicki Lawrence. While The Love Machine attempted to capitalize on the dating game show format popular at the time, it did not achieve widespread success and was cancelled after one season. The show's title was derived from the Jacqueline Susann novel, "The Love Machine," although the television series had no connection to the plot or themes of the novel.
