The Lone Star Ranger (1919 film)

The Lone Star Ranger is a 1919 American silent Western film directed by J. Gordon Edwards and starring William Farnum. It is based on the 1915 novel of the same name by Zane Grey. The film follows the story of Buck Duane, a young man who becomes a fugitive after accidentally killing a man in self-defense. Forced to join a band of outlaws, he eventually finds redemption by becoming a Texas Ranger and fighting against the very gang he once belonged to.

The film is considered a significant early adaptation of Grey's popular Western novel. It was produced and distributed by Fox Film Corporation.
