The Emptiness (album)

The Emptiness is the seventh studio album by the American rock band Alesana. It was released on January 26, 2010, through Fearless Records. The album is a concept album, loosely based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story, "Annabel Lee," and also draws inspiration from other works of Poe. It tells a dark and gothic love story, with themes of loss, despair, and madness.

Musically, The Emptiness blends elements of metalcore, post-hardcore, and screamo, with significant use of clean vocals alongside screamed vocals.
