Terry Cook (racing driver)
Terry Cook (born April 27, 1968) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. He is best known for his career in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (now NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series), where he was a consistent contender, although he never won a championship.
Cook began his racing career in local short tracks in Ohio. He made his NASCAR debut in the Busch Series (now NASCAR Xfinity Series) in 1996, but his primary focus quickly became the Truck Series.
In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Cook drove primarily for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated (DEI) and later for other teams. He earned numerous wins, pole positions, and top-ten finishes throughout his career. While he never secured a championship, he finished in the top 10 in the point standings several times, demonstrating his consistency and skill. Cook was known for his aggressive driving style and his ability to consistently perform well on a variety of track types, including ovals and road courses.
Cook retired from full-time racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2011. He has since participated in occasional racing events and has remained involved in the motorsports community.
