Tenggara (federal constituency)

Tenggara is a federal constituency in Johor, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat (the lower house of Parliament) since 2004.

The constituency was created in the 2003 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to Parliament using the first-past-the-post voting system. It encompasses areas predominantly within the Kota Tinggi district.

The electoral roll primarily consists of Malay voters, with significant minorities of Chinese and Indian voters. Agriculture and related industries form a key part of the local economy.

Historically, the Tenggara parliamentary seat has been a stronghold for the Barisan Nasional coalition, particularly the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) component party.
