Tele 5

Tele 5 is a German free-to-air television channel. It was originally launched in January 1988 as Eureka TV, later rebranded as Tele 5 in the same year, and operated until January 1993 when it ceased broadcasting due to financial difficulties. The channel primarily focused on entertainment programming, including movies, series, and sports.

The Tele 5 brand was revived in April 2002 by Tele München Gruppe (TMG), now LEONINE Studios, and has been broadcasting ever since. The modern Tele 5 maintains a focus on entertainment, with an emphasis on science fiction, fantasy, and horror movies and series. It also broadcasts classic films, cult movies, and some sports events. The channel is available via cable, satellite, and IPTV in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
