John T. McCutcheon (politician)

John T. McCutcheon (born John Tinney McCutcheon, Jr., August 14, 1916 – January 16, 1979) was an American politician who served as Lieutenant Governor of Indiana from 1969 to 1973, under Governor Edgar Whitcomb. A Republican, McCutcheon was a native of Gibson County, Indiana. He graduated from Princeton University and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Prior to his election as Lieutenant Governor, he served in the Indiana State Senate. As Lieutenant Governor, he also served as President of the Indiana Senate. After leaving office, McCutcheon remained active in Indiana politics and business.
