Tajakant

The Tajakant are a Saharawi tribe, part of the larger Tekna confederation. They are primarily of Berber origin, with historical connections to southern Morocco and the Western Sahara. Traditionally, the Tajakant were nomadic pastoralists, engaged in camel and goat herding across the desert regions. Their social structure, like that of other Saharawi tribes, is based on lineage and clan affiliation. The Tajakant speak Hassaniya Arabic, a dialect influenced by Berber languages.
