Sung Hoon (actor)

Sung Hoon (born Bang Sung-hoon on February 14, 1983) is a South Korean actor and model. He is best known for his leading roles in television dramas such as New Tales of Gisaeng (2011), Faith (2012), Noble, My Love (2015), Oh My Venus (2015), My Secret Romance (2017), Level Up (2019), and Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) (2021-2023).

Before pursuing an acting career, Sung Hoon was a professional swimmer for 14 years, specializing in butterfly. He was forced to retire due to a spinal injury. He then served his mandatory military service.

Sung Hoon made his acting debut in 2011 with the drama New Tales of Gisaeng, landing the lead role despite having no prior acting experience. This role earned him a New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. He has since become a prominent figure in the Korean entertainment industry, participating in a variety of dramas and variety shows. He is also active as a DJ under the name DJ ROiii.
