Sue Chew

Sue Chew is an American politician and businesswoman serving as a Democratic member of the Idaho House of Representatives for District 16, position A, since 2009. She represents the western portion of Boise.

Chew was born in Boise, Idaho. She graduated from Boise High School and Boise State University. Prior to her political career, Chew owned and operated a small business in Boise.

In the Idaho House of Representatives, Chew has served on the Business Committee, the Revenue and Taxation Committee, and the Health and Welfare Committee. She has focused on issues such as small business development, healthcare access, and education funding. She has also been a strong advocate for environmental protection.

Chew has been recognized for her legislative work by various organizations, including the Idaho Conservation League. She is known for her ability to work across party lines and find common ground on important issues facing the state. She is generally considered a moderate Democrat.
