Stixaceae
Stixaceae is a family of flowering plants belonging to the order Brassicales. It includes a single genus, Stixis. The family is characterized by its shrub or tree-like habit and is found in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, particularly in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Key morphological features include alternate, simple leaves, racemose or paniculate inflorescences, and small, inconspicuous flowers. The fruits are typically berries. Historically, Stixis has been placed in various families, including Capparaceae and Resedaceae, but molecular phylogenetic studies have supported its recognition as a distinct family, Stixaceae.
