Spitta may refer to:

• Carl Johann Philipp Spitta (1801-1859): A German Protestant theologian and hymnwriter. He is best known for his collection of hymns Psalter und Harfe (Psalter and Harp), which became widely popular and influential in German Protestant hymnody.

• Friedrich Spitta (1852-1924): A German Protestant theologian and New Testament scholar. He was a professor at the University of Strasbourg and the University of Göttingen. Spitta made significant contributions to the study of Christian origins and early Christian liturgy.

• Philipp Spitta (1841-1894): A German musicologist and music historian. He is best known for his comprehensive biographies of Johann Sebastian Bach and Heinrich Schütz. His work on Bach is considered a foundational text in Bach scholarship.
