Special Warfare Training Centre (Malaysia)

The Special Warfare Training Centre (Malay: Pusat Latihan Peperangan Khas, abbreviated PULPAK) is a Malaysian Army training facility dedicated to the instruction and development of special forces operators. Located in Sungai Udang Camp, Melaka, it is responsible for training personnel from the various special operations units within the Malaysian Armed Forces, primarily the Grup Gerak Khas (GGK).

PULPAK provides a range of courses covering specialized warfare disciplines, including, but not limited to:

  • Close Quarters Combat (CQC)
  • Demolitions
  • Jungle Warfare
  • Counter-Terrorism
  • Unconventional Warfare
  • Reconnaissance
  • Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE)

The centre aims to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct special operations in diverse and challenging environments. Instruction is provided by experienced instructors drawn from operational units within the GGK. PULPAK also plays a role in evaluating and developing new tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for special operations forces, ensuring the Malaysian Armed Forces remains at the forefront of special warfare capabilities.
