Skarhead

Skarhead is a New York hardcore band formed in 1993 by Lord Ezec (also known as Danny Diablo) after the breakup of his previous band, Crown of Thornz. Known for its aggressive, streetwise lyrics and a blend of hardcore punk, metal, and hip-hop influences, Skarhead became a prominent fixture in the New York hardcore scene of the 1990s and beyond.

The band's lyrical themes often revolve around street life, loyalty, brotherhood, and anti-establishment sentiments. Their music is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and Lord Ezec's distinctive vocals. Skarhead's sound helped to define a subgenre often referred to as "thugcore," although the band's music is more nuanced than that label suggests.

Skarhead has released several albums and EPs throughout its career, playing numerous shows and festivals both domestically and internationally. The band has experienced various lineup changes over the years, with Lord Ezec remaining the consistent and central figure.
