Sivuca

Sivuca was a Brazilian accordionist, composer, and singer. Born Severino Dias de Oliveira (June 6, 1930 – December 14, 2006) in Itabaiana, Paraíba, Brazil, Sivuca was a highly influential figure in Brazilian popular music (MPB) and choro. He was renowned for his virtuosic accordion playing, blending traditional Brazilian rhythms like baião and forró with jazz harmonies and classical techniques.

Sivuca's early musical career began with radio performances and regional bands. He gained wider recognition in the 1950s and 1960s, performing and recording with various artists.
