Simin Liu

Simu Liu is a Canadian actor, writer, and stuntman. He is best known for his portrayal of Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), which was his breakthrough role.

Born in Harbin, China, Liu immigrated to Canada with his grandparents at the age of five. He was primarily raised in Mississauga, Ontario. Prior to his acting career, he worked as an accountant at Deloitte.

Liu transitioned to acting with background roles and minor television appearances. He gained recognition for his role as Jung Kim in the CBC Television sitcom Kim's Convenience, which aired from 2016 to 2021.
