Seventh Heaven (horse)
Seventh Heaven was a French Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the Group 1 Irish Oaks in 2016. She was trained by Jean-Claude Rouget and owned by the White Birch Farm.
Background
Seventh Heaven was sired by Galileo, a leading sire known for producing high-class stayers. Her dam, La Traviata, was a daughter of Johannesburg.
Racing Career
Seventh Heaven began her racing career as a two-year-old, showing promise but not securing any major victories. Her three-year-old season saw a significant improvement. While she did not win the Epsom Oaks, she ran respectably, finishing midfield. Following this, she travelled to Ireland and secured her most significant victory in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh, defeating rivals including Even Song and Architecture. She later competed in other Group 1 races, including the Yorkshire Oaks and the Prix Vermeille, placing but not winning.
Retirement
Following her racing career, Seventh Heaven was retired to become a broodmare.
