Sergey Ivanov (politician, born 1969)

Sergey Sergeyevich Ivanov (born February 8, 1969) is a Russian politician and businessman. He is the CEO and chairman of the management board of ALROSA, the world's largest diamond mining company.

Ivanov previously held various positions in the Russian government and business sector. He graduated from Saint Petersburg State University with a degree in economics.

His political career began in the early 2000s. He served as Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) from 2002 to 2004. He later became Vice President of ALROSA from 2004 to 2011.

In 2011, Ivanov was appointed President of ALROSA and subsequently became CEO and Chairman of the Management Board. Under his leadership, ALROSA has focused on increasing production, modernizing its operations, and expanding its international presence.

Ivanov is considered a significant figure in the Russian diamond industry and has played a key role in the development of ALROSA as a global leader.
