Scott Martin (Pennsylvania politician)

Scott Martin is a Republican politician from Pennsylvania. He currently serves as a Pennsylvania State Senator for the 13th District, which includes parts of Lancaster County.

Martin was first elected to the State Senate in a special election held in 2016, succeeding Lloyd Smucker, who was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to his election to the Senate, he served as a Lancaster County Commissioner for nine years.

During his time in the State Senate, Martin has focused on issues such as fiscal responsibility, job creation, and education reform. He has been a strong advocate for property tax reform and has supported legislation aimed at reducing government spending. He has also been involved in efforts to improve Pennsylvania's business climate.

Martin serves on several Senate committees, including Appropriations, Education, and Finance.

Before entering public service, Martin owned and operated a small business. He is a graduate of Penn State University.
