Sökarna

Sökarna (Swedish for "The Seekers") is a 1993 Swedish film directed by Daniel Fridell and Peter Cartriers. It is a drama centered around the themes of youth alienation, violence, and societal problems in Stockholm. The film follows the lives of a group of young people involved in petty crime and searching for meaning in a seemingly bleak environment.

The film gained notoriety for its realistic portrayal of youth delinquency and its unflinching depiction of drug use and violence. It sparked considerable debate in Sweden upon its release, with some critics praising its social commentary and others condemning its gratuitous content.

A sequel, Sökarna: Återkomsten ("The Seekers: The Return"), was released in 2006.
