Rusty (band)

Rusty was a Canadian alternative rock band active primarily in the mid-1990s. Formed in Montreal, Quebec, the band consisted of Ken MacNeil on vocals and guitar, Scott McCord on bass, and Alain Benzie on drums.

The band gained popularity with their debut album, Sploosh!, released in 1994. The album spawned several successful singles, including "California" and "Misogyny". Their music was characterized by catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and MacNeil's distinctive vocals.

Rusty toured extensively throughout Canada and the United States, supporting acts such as Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul.

The band released a second album, Out of Their Heads, in 1996. While well-received by some critics, it did not achieve the same commercial success as their debut. Following the release of Out of Their Heads, Rusty disbanded.

After the breakup, the band members pursued various other musical projects. Ken MacNeil continued to work as a musician and songwriter. Scott McCord became a voice actor, known for his work on animated television shows. Alain Benzie also remained active in the music scene.

Rusty's music remains popular with fans of 1990s alternative rock, and their debut album is considered a classic of the era.
