Rush Lake (Pakistan)
Rush Lake is a high-altitude lake located near Rush Pari Peak in the Nagar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Situated at an elevation of approximately 4,694 meters (15,400 feet), Rush Lake is often cited as one of the highest alpine lakes in Pakistan, and sometimes claimed to be the highest alpine lake in the world, though this is contested by other lakes.
The lake is situated within the Nagar Valley and can be accessed via several trekking routes. The most common route involves trekking from Hopar village, known for its glaciers. The trek to Rush Lake offers stunning views of the Karakoram mountain range, including Spantik (Golden Peak), Malubiting, Miar Peak, and Phuparash Peak.
