Rubicon (Rubicon album)
Rubicon is the debut album by the American rock band Rubicon, released in 1978. The band, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, featured Jerry Martini, a founding member of Sly & the Family Stone. The album's most notable single was "I'm Gonna Take Care of Everything," which reached the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album blends elements of funk, rock, and pop, reflecting the diverse musical backgrounds of the band members. Despite the single's success, the album itself didn't achieve major commercial success, and Rubicon disbanded shortly after its release. The album remains a noteworthy example of late 1970s rock music with funk influences, showcasing the talents of its individual members, especially Martini's signature saxophone sound.
