Roy Wilson (baseball)

Roy Wilson (born November 26, 1956) is a former professional baseball player. He was a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) for two seasons, playing for the Kansas City Royals in 1980 and the Seattle Mariners in 1982.

Wilson was drafted by the Royals in the 1st round (13th overall) of the 1978 MLB draft out of the University of Houston. He made his major league debut on July 29, 1980. He appeared in 6 games for the Royals that year, pitching 11 innings.

In 1982, Wilson was traded to the Seattle Mariners. He appeared in 2 games for the Mariners, pitching 4 innings. He did not record a decision or a save in either season. His MLB career concluded after the 1982 season.
