Robert Singer (American politician)
Robert Singer (born December 9, 1947) is an American Republican Party politician who has served in the New Jersey State Senate since 1993, representing the 30th Legislative District. The 30th district encompasses portions of Monmouth and Ocean counties.
Senator Singer served as the Senate Republican Conference Leader from 2004 to 2007 and as the Senate Republican Whip from 2008 to 2011. He currently serves on the Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee and the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee.
Prior to his service in the Senate, Singer served on the Jackson Township Council. He also served as Mayor of Jackson Township, New Jersey. He has been involved in numerous civic and community organizations throughout his career. He has also served as a member of the New Jersey Pinelands Commission.
Singer is a graduate of Monmouth University. He is married and has children.
