Robert H. Day (judge)

Robert H. Day (1914-2000) was a Justice of the Kansas Supreme Court from 1971 to 1987. Born in Belleville, Kansas, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas in 1936 and his law degree from the same institution in 1939.

Prior to his service on the Supreme Court, Day engaged in private law practice in Belleville. He served as the Belleville city attorney and as the Republic County attorney. He also served as a judge of the 12th Judicial District of Kansas.

During his tenure on the Kansas Supreme Court, Justice Day participated in numerous significant legal decisions affecting Kansas law. He was known for his careful consideration of cases and his commitment to upholding the rule of law. He retired from the court in 1987. Following his retirement, he continued to be involved in the legal community.
