Rio (1939 film)

Rio is a 1939 American romantic drama film directed by John Brahm and starring Basil Rathbone, Victor McLaglen, and Sigrid Gurie.

The film tells the story of Paul Reynard (Rathbone), a sophisticated jewel thief who escapes from a French prison and flees to Rio de Janeiro. He seeks refuge in a nightclub owned by Bill Gregory (McLaglen), an old acquaintance.
