René Christensen (politician)
René Christensen (born 1969) is a Danish politician representing the Denmark Democrats. He has been a member of the Folketing (Danish Parliament) since 2007.
Christensen was initially elected for the Danish People's Party (Dansk Folkeparti). He served as the party's spokesperson on finance and economic affairs. He was known for his fiscally conservative views and his focus on issues related to immigration and national identity.
In 2022, Christensen left the Danish People's Party and joined the newly formed Denmark Democrats (Danmarksdemokraterne), founded by former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. He was re-elected to the Folketing as a member of the Denmark Democrats in the 2022 general election. His political focus within the Denmark Democrats continues to be on economic policy and issues of national importance.
