Ready or Not (Grateful Dead album)
Ready or Not is a studio album by the American rock band the Grateful Dead, released in 2004. It consists of previously unreleased live recordings made between 1992 and 1995, during the band's final years with Jerry Garcia. The album is notable for including several original songs that the band had performed live but never officially released on a studio album during Garcia's lifetime. These included "Lazy River Road," "Eternity," "Corrina," "So Many Roads," and "Way to Go Home." Ready or Not was assembled and released posthumously following Garcia's death in 1995. It was produced by Bob Bralove and mastered by Joe Gastwirt. The album received mixed reviews, with some critics praising the quality of the performances and the inclusion of new material, while others felt that the recordings were not up to the band's usual standards and that Garcia's health was audibly declining during this period. Despite the mixed reception, Ready or Not provided Grateful Dead fans with a collection of previously unheard material from the band's later years.
