Randy Allen (basketball)

Randy Allen is a former American college basketball coach. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Utah State University from 1976 to 1989. During his tenure at Utah State, Allen compiled a record of 212–171. He led the Aggies to two NCAA Tournament appearances (1979, 1980) and two National Invitation Tournament (NIT) appearances (1978, 1988). Allen was named the Big West Conference Coach of the Year in 1988. Prior to coaching at Utah State, Allen was an assistant coach at Boise State University. After leaving Utah State, he served as an assistant coach at BYU and later worked in private business.
