R473 road (Ireland)

The R473 is a regional road in Ireland. It is located entirely within County Clare.

The road links the village of Ballyvaughan on the N67 road to the village of Lisdoonvarna, where it terminates at a junction with the N67 once more.

The R473 facilitates access to areas of the Burren region. It runs roughly southwest from Ballyvaughan, traversing a relatively sparsely populated area known for its karst landscape.

The entirety of the R473 is approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) in length. It is a single carriageway road throughout.

Improvements to signage and road surface have been carried out in recent years to enhance safety and accessibility for tourists and local traffic.
