Poul Jensen (astronomer)
Poul Jensen was a Danish astronomer active in the first half of the 20th century. He worked primarily at the Østervold Observatory in Copenhagen. His research focused largely on the observation and calculation of orbits for comets and minor planets (asteroids). He is credited with the discovery of several asteroids, including 1953 Rupertwildt, discovered in 1951, and 1954 Kukarkin, discovered in 1952. His contributions helped to expand the understanding of the solar system's small body population.
