Pod (film)

Pod is a 2015 American psychological horror film written and directed by Mickey Keating. The film stars Lauren Ashley Carter, Dean Cates, Brian Morvant, Larry Fessenden, and John Weselcouch.

The plot revolves around siblings Ed and Meg, who travel to their secluded family lake house to stage an intervention for their estranged and mentally unstable brother, Martin. Martin claims to have captured a strange creature in the basement, which he believes is an extraterrestrial being he calls "Pod." As the siblings attempt to help Martin, they begin to question his sanity and the reality of the situation, leading to paranoia, violence, and uncertainly about what, if anything, Martin has truly discovered. The film explores themes of mental illness, family dynamics, and the unreliable nature of perception.
