Plattenhardt

Plattenhardt is a district (German: Stadtteil) of the town of Filderstadt in the administrative district of Esslingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on the Filder Plain, south of Stuttgart.

Plattenhardt is one of the five constituent communities that merged in 1975 to form the town of Filderstadt. Historically, Plattenhardt was an independent municipality.

The district is primarily residential with a mix of older and newer housing. It contains several local businesses, schools, churches, and recreational facilities. Its proximity to Stuttgart makes it a commuter community.

Plattenhardt is also known for its annual "Fleckenfest" (village festival), a community event featuring local food, music, and crafts.
