Peter Noble (academic)
Peter Noble is a British academic specializing in medieval German literature and intellectual history. He is particularly known for his work on Wolfram von Eschenbach, especially the Parzival and Willehalm.
Noble held positions at the University of Reading and the University of Cambridge before becoming a fellow of St John's College, Cambridge, where he served as a University Lecturer. He is now retired but remains active in research.
His research interests encompass a broad range of topics within medieval German studies, including Arthurian romance, religious and intellectual currents of the High Middle Ages, and the reception of classical literature in medieval Germany.
