People's Democratic Front (Meghalaya)

The People's Democratic Front (PDF) is a regional political party in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was founded in 2017. The party primarily operates within the Khasi and Jaintia Hills regions of Meghalaya.

The PDF contested the 2018 Meghalaya Legislative Assembly election and won four seats. It subsequently became a part of the coalition government led by the National People's Party (NPP). The party leadership typically consists of prominent figures from the Khasi community.

The party's political agenda generally focuses on issues concerning the socio-economic development of Meghalaya, with a specific emphasis on the concerns of the Khasi and Jaintia people. These issues often include land rights, protection of indigenous culture, and improvement of infrastructure and education within the state. The PDF advocates for greater autonomy and self-determination for the indigenous communities of Meghalaya.

In the 2023 Meghalaya Legislative Assembly election, the party won two seats. It continues to play a role in Meghalaya's political landscape.
