Pedro Vega (bishop)

Pedro Vega (dates of birth and death unknown) was a Roman Catholic bishop in the 16th century. He served as the Bishop of Islas Canarias (Canary Islands) from 1524 to 1531. Little is definitively known about his life prior to his appointment or following his resignation/transfer. Records primarily document his role within the diocese and his interaction with the Spanish crown regarding the administration and governance of the Canary Islands, a relatively new territory for Spain at the time.
