Paul Cummins (basketball)

Paul Cummins is a former American basketball coach, best known for his highly successful tenure at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. He coached the Wolverines for 24 years, leading them to multiple state championships and establishing the program as a national powerhouse.

Cummins is renowned for his emphasis on fundamental basketball skills, discipline, and academic excellence. He developed a reputation for producing college-ready players, many of whom went on to play at prestigious universities. His coaching style is often described as demanding yet supportive, fostering a strong team culture.

Prior to his time at Harvard-Westlake, Cummins coached at Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California, where he also achieved considerable success. He retired from coaching high school basketball in 2017. Since his retirement, Cummins has remained active in the basketball community, offering coaching clinics and mentoring young players.
