Ondava
The Ondava is a river in eastern Slovakia. It originates in the Bukovec Mountains and flows in a southwesterly direction, joining with the Latorica River near Zemplín to form the Bodrog River, which is a tributary of the Tisza River. The Ondava is approximately 146 kilometers (91 miles) long. The major towns and villages along its course include Svidník, Stropkov, and Trebišov. The river's drainage basin covers an area of about 3,386 square kilometers (1,307 square miles). The Ondava river valley is characterized by agricultural land and forested areas.
