Oelze (river)

The Oelze is a small river in Thuringia, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Schwarza river. The Oelze rises in the Thuringian Forest, near the village of Oelze. It flows generally southward, passing through the towns of Rottenbach and Bad Blankenburg before joining the Schwarza. The river's length is approximately 14 kilometers. The Oelze valley is known for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination for hiking and recreation.
