O.A.R.
O.A.R. (formerly known as Of A Revolution) is an American rock band formed in 1996 in Rockville, Maryland. The band's current lineup consists of Marc Roberge (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Culos (drums, percussion), Richard On (lead guitar, backing vocals), Benj Gershman (bass), and Jerry DePizzo (saxophone, guitar, backing vocals).
O.A.R. gained early popularity through grassroots touring and the sharing of their music online. They are known for their energetic live performances and their blend of alternative rock, reggae, and jam band influences. Their sound is often characterized by Roberge's distinctive vocals and DePizzo's prominent saxophone melodies.
The band released their first album, The Wanderer, independently in 1997. They gained wider recognition with albums like Risen (2001), In Between Dreams (2005), and All Sides (2008), which achieved commercial success and produced popular singles such as "Crazy Game of Poker," "Hey Girl," and "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)."
