No-Maddz
No-Maddz (stylized as No-MADDZ) is a Jamaican musical group formed in Kingston, Jamaica, in 2000. The name is a play on the word "nomads," reflecting their eclectic musical style and constant exploration of different genres. The group is known for its fusion of Jamaican folk music (mento), reggae, jazz, dub, and spoken word poetry.
The core members of No-Maddz consist of Sheldon Shepherd, Everaldo Creary, O'Neil Peart, and Garth Amiel Dennis. They are all multi-instrumentalists, poets, and actors, contributing to their diverse and engaging performances.
No-Maddz gained prominence for their conscious lyrics and socially relevant themes, often addressing issues of inequality, poverty, and political corruption in Jamaica. Their music also celebrates Jamaican culture and history.
