Night of Champions (2010)
Night of Champions 2010 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It took place on September 19, 2010, at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The event was the fourth annual Night of Champions and featured wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brands. The theme of the show, like previous Night of Champions events, was that every championship in WWE at the time was defended.
The main event featured Randy Orton defeating Sheamus, Wade Barrett, John Cena, Chris Jericho, and Edge in a Six-Pack Elimination Challenge match to win the WWE Championship. Other prominent matches included Kane defeating The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, and Daniel Bryan defeating The Miz to win the United States Championship. The event had seven matches in total. It received mixed reviews, with criticism aimed at some of the match finishes and the overall pacing of the show. The show's buyrate was lower than the previous year's Night of Champions.
