Naibei (奈貝)

Naibei is a city located in Hokkaido, Japan. It is situated in the Sorachi Subprefecture. The city is primarily known for its agricultural industry, particularly rice cultivation. It is considered a relatively rural area with a significant portion of its population engaged in farming. The city's name, Naibei, is derived from an Ainu word. The area was historically inhabited by the Ainu people prior to Japanese settlement. Naibei operates under a mayor-council system of government.
